WHAT IS TAC ACADEMY
TAC Academy is the professional development and capacity-building arm of The Astronauts Collective (TAC). While TAC's programmes serve youths directly, TAC Academy equips practitioners, educators, mentors, and the organisations behind them – ensuring that those who guide youths are well-prepared, evidence-informed, and grounded in what works.

Built on more than a decade of hands-on youth career guidance and development experience and the findings of Project Mentor Up! (PMU) – one of our most recent research studies on youth career mentoring – TAC Academy translates research and practice into structured training programmes, practitioner resources, and bespoke organisational development.

We work with schools, social service organisations, community groups, and corporate teams who share a belief that the quality of career guidance and development a young person receives depends entirely on the people delivering it.

WHY THIS WORK MATTERS
The career guidance and development support a young person receives is only as strong as the person delivering it. Yet across Singapore's youth sector, the training available to mentors, teachers, and programme staff rarely keeps pace with what young people actually need – or with what the research tells us works.
TAC Academy was established to close that gap. Our programmes are not generic training courses. They are developed from direct fieldwork, informed by research, and designed to be immediately applicable in the contexts our participants work in every day.
